At the day after the Star Festival, Princess Peach sent an invitation to the Mario Brothers to come in the castle, where she had baken a cake for them. Suddenly, two intruders came and corrupted the party. That were Bowser and Kamek. With their massive airship they launched an enormous orb of power towards Peach's Castle, but the magical power of the Shine Sprites inside the castle formed a shield, which headed off the orb and hurled it to the cosmos. Then it started flying right to the Rosalina's Comet Observatory. The orb crushed into the center of the observatory (which Rosalina and Lumas call 'beacon') and 12 of the Power Stars were scattered arround the world and the Observatory was unable to travel. Rosalina and her Lumas were forced to land on the Earth. Then, they went to the Star Palace - their temporary home. Meanwhile, Bowser kidnapped Princess Peach and captured the Mushroom Kingdom. Help Mario and Luigi along their adventure to save the Princess and to restore the Power Stars.

The pack that contains only the .map file, Game.ini, Changelog.txt and Pass.txt. It is recommended to use this pack if you already have V.1.0 and replace the old files with this ones. You can use the old save file, as well.
Since Demo V.1.1 has been released, there might be bugs in the levels & world map. Please, report if you have encountered some. Also, I started working on Demo 2.0, which will feature full 3D gfx - no 16 bit npcs, effects and probably player. World 4 might be featured, as well. Time, work and effort have been put in this project, so any support will be greatly appreciated!
Looks great actually! These levels looks good. Keep it up!
Hi! It's nice to see you reading this. I'm a very big mario fan but I do play other games alot too! For example team fortress 2. I love that game! Mario has been with me since my childhood so there is no chance I would hate Mario. Don't be afraid to talk with me, I will be nice to everyone on the site!
My first lovely game was super Mario 64. And yep, Mario is the protagonist! That game is really amazing! It explains alot how I became a big fan of Mario! (and gaming ofcourse!). But I don't only play games, I do other fun activities! For example, reading and learning new things! Reading is because it is very fun and make you a creative person! Learning new things (for example in biology) boosts my confidence more and more!
I found out about Smbx for a long time. I always loved it! I'm working on a project too!
Well this is very good, especially the graphics of NSMB, NSMB2 and NSMBWII!
You do not have to make your project levels in order. Do the level that you feel like doing

I'd recommend you remade the levels to not use NSMB gfx, as they clash heavily with the rest of the graphics (Like Mario and the NPCs). Also, some screens lack coins.

I want all of the npcs to be in 16-bit style. I like how they combine with the 3d graphics of the blocks and bgos. And I'm not going to remake the nsmb graphics. Maybe the graphics of the npcs will be different, but they won't be in nsmb style
I'm sorry, but... this just looks bad. I'm sure the levels themselves are alright as far as gameplay goes, but the fact that you are using NSMB graphics (which in general is a bad choice due to the limitations of SMBX) along with the default graphics of SMBX, just doesn't work. (also, mixing themes for NPCs like Goombas doesn't even have an excuse) In my opinion, either get rid of the NSMB graphics or make everything else NSMB, otherwise it will clash and look bad.
On a more positive note, the world map, World 1's cave level and World 2's Castle look great as they are, I wouldn't change a thing about them. The other levels... they have room for improvement.
EDIT: I'm looking through the other posts and I realize you already said "no" to almost everything I just said. That's a shame, really, since this looks like something I wouldn't mind checking out with these things changed.
i think i agree with everyone, it might sound painful, but you need to recreate those graphics. the world map is fine comparing to the levels themselves.
I feel so a**hole to see the world map. But I probably like it. The problem is that I'm like hypnosisly dreaming(or dizzy..) and I might lost where is World 2 and where is World 6.
Because not people hating your project, it's because people don't like to see a "game with non-pixels" graphics which meant "1x1 pixels". Sorry if I wasn't posting really contructively in the other forum though. :c
Since, SMBX uses 2x2 pixels if I don't recall that other games uses 1x1 pixels. The other games/hacks are probably a HD-like graphics, even there are pixels. So it's kinda sucks to have a 1x1 graphics in your project.
Here's my last words, I think Greendan's episode is an inspiration to New Super Mario Bros. Wii/DS/U. I probably look for a New Super Mario Bros project in SMBX, and I... like it. :3

Most people here don't assume my gender, feel free to use "they" and "them" as long as it doesn't refer to many people or something. But I'm of course a girl. yes i have g+ except its gonna get shut down soon rip
Greendans episode is being unique by having these sort of graphics and using them correctly , almost every episode uses the boring smb3 graphics (mine too) so he wanted to show the smbx forum a episode that uses heavily NSMB graphics and he also works hard on the episode trying to make it better.
Please do not say to remove his NSMB graphics because its like saying to someones project: Use only smb3 graphics , no smb1, no smw or other graphics.
Projects should not be criticize because they have some sort of graphics that for others doesn't appeal that much!

They're not saying "don't use NSMBWii graphics because they're bad" but rather "don't mix NSMBWii graphics with normal SMBX graphics because the mix of 1px and 2px graphics looks bad". Right now they don't look very good with everything else, however, there are many assets for NSMBWii out there that could be used instead of the 2px graphics, including Mario sprites, that would make the 1px graphics work
I don't know why you guys said Greendan's project is bad just because of the graphics. And that's not a reason to dislike it ! His project is inspired by the New Super Mario Bros. series, that's why he use the 3d graphics mixed with 16-bit graphics because he like to do like this.

We're just trying to share our experience with SMBX to make his project better

They didn't say they don't like it. I had to agree with others(I cannot blame others for now, I need to be respective). As what PixelPest said when mixing 2x2 pixels with 1x1 pixel they're looking weird. Unlike braineat's New Super Mario Bros. X Revolution, it uses 1x1 pixels instead of 2x2 pixels. So I prefered 2x2 pixels rather than 1x1 pixels though. (I think I said pixels a lot)

But most people don't think it looks that good, me included. I know that it's your opinion and all, but generally, 1x1 gfx don't really fit with 2x2 gfx. It would work better if you made the episode use only use 2x2 gfx or 1x1 gfx (Though making it only use NSMB gfx might require a bit of coding)
