So switching to 6-1 or if not possible, then my secondary option is 2-3.

This oughta be a good way to ease myself back into SMBX after a long break. Sign me up for 2-3, that shouldn't be too hard to handle.

I don't know what an API is, but you can find a SMB1 Flagpole in Valtteri's Graphics Pack.
Or in a zipped file just for you flagpolers:

Don't worry about it. Aristo mentioned something about either going through and placing the flagpoles after levels were received or I suggested also releasing it as an NPC which could easily be placed in the editor, but for now I'd suggest focusing on the level and not worrying about the flagpole

My level up to now. I'm having problems fitting in both the water bonus and the sky bonus room so could I just not include one of them?

Mine is quite simple and for a good reason, It's 1-1 THE video gaming classic... Most of this level is for nostalgia purposes and no sweet gimmicks were included as they aren't needed in the game's first few levels.

It looks like a bland extended version of 1-1, like there isn't a whole lot of action or stuff going on, just generic jumps and leaps, it is a good attempt though.
