Mario&Luigi: Bowser's Reign BETA TESTERS NEEDED

Mario&Luigi: Bowser's Reign

Story:
Bowser, tired of constantly being bested by the famous Italian plumbers, decides to hatch up a new scheme! He infiltrates the princess's castle and takes over as supreme ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. In order to prevent another defeat, he casts a spell on the castle, locking it from the outside world. Only the power of the 6 sacred star sprites can break the terrible spell. Join Mario and Luigi on a quest to find all 6 star sprites and save the Mushroom Kingdom from the clutches of the evil Koopa King.
Details:
Play as both Mario and Luigi and journey through six worlds, working together to solve complex puzzles and interactive minigames! This game is best played with two-players but it can also be played with one person controlling both Mario and Luigi. I felt as if there needed to be an episode with a more interactive and puzzle based game play, and there seems to be an absence of multiplayer oriented episodes. So this is a new type of episode/concept centered around working together and problem solving. Although not all levels demand there to be two players but most levels require two players to get around.

The screenshots look very interesting and the concept is really cool as well! I can't wait to see more of this co-operative episode project. Good job and good luck!

This is really cool! I look forward to playing it once it's done. One small problem, though. I think the map would look better without any decorations under the paths, It makes it look like the decorations are just flat pictures on the ground. Other than that, this looks awesome!

Hmm... quite fascinating. I think I'll have to get a person to play with. Soon.

Lol, if you don't have anybody to play with you can still play by yourself controlling both Mario and Luigi ;p, but the best experience is two player!

Thanks for the advice, but when the player unlocks the path, the decorations are removed by the path. :p

Yea, I could've just taken the screenshot in the actual game mode but I decided to take it on the level editor environment.

Added in 1 hour 24 minutes 52 seconds:
OP has been updated, two more levels have been completed in the Koopa Isles.

That would be both weird and hard. 🤔
Btw, can I/we get some more screenshots? Maybe from the two fresh-finished levels.

Not really, once you get used to the play style, it becomes easy. It's not supposed to be a fast-paced platformer but a puzzle oriented episode. Therefore the goal is in co-operation and not finishing quickly.

Also, here ya go.

Still using the legacy editor? Get SMBX2 and PGE, it will improve your experience significantly. Here's why. And remember, Yoshis are tools to be used and discarded.

This looks really nice, I like the slightly browner aesthetics in the screenshots, it makes everything look more realistic in my opinion.

Which slightly browner aesthetics and in what screenshot? :o

Also new screenshot..

Whoever can guess the name of this boss gets a treat....

Also, bosses will be fought with one player only, for convenience and storyline reasons :p

Don't mind the random blocks at the top and the fact that i'm using a single player, It's only because i'm testing it.
I'm not done with the boss btw.

Oh, I meant that the graphics in the older screenshots were brown-ish, that's all. They remind me of Autumn a bit. I think they look good though. :D
