A few things i would like to see:

X2 Characters (Mega Man, Samus, Bowser, Wario, Rosalina, Solid Snake, Klonoa, Uncle Broadsword, Ultimate Rinka, Zelda) hardcoded into the game, allowing them to be blocked in episodes and other things like that without the need of LunaLua, also the ability to enable or disable certain costumes for a specific episode.

SMB3 Damage system and an option to turn off the Item Box.

Enemies/Bosses i would like to see:

Reminder that builds more recent than Beta 3 (released since this topic's recent bump) make it easy to create custom NPC packs and that literally nothing is stopping anyone from implementing the NPCs and obstacles they wish to see.

Suggestions like "make all characters work on the launcher" make more sense to put here, but then again that particular suggestion has also been on our to-do list for a long time already.

Beyond that, before typing a long list of iconic or less-iconic nintendo enemy names it might be good to take a look through what other people have already made:

Stiletto Goomba is literally the already-basegame shoe goomba just with the added impossibility of a useless mount we cannot currently add, so just resprite that.

This thread is pretty much ignored when it comes to actually putting stuff into basegame, but since anyone can add this stuff these days, the void people have been shouting into in this thread has become a bit more filled.

More Vanilla Music/ Or More Custom Music per Section:
While the Music Inis or LunaDLL Method are a thing the ini versionisen't working quite some times and it's
kind of annoying to write/copy a Luna File everytime just to use to Custom Music in one Section for Things
like Boss Fights.

No, we're not going to bloat the download with junk like costumes and music. I also don't know in what situation you'd ever need to "copy a luna file" in order to play music during a boss fight. You just do Audio.MusicChange(filename) in onEvent when a boss trigger event happens. The music.ini method is reliable too. It reloads music information whenever the smbx process is restarted iirc.
Make waluigi yourself and if it's coded well... you know the drill.

I understand it with the Costumes, so an offical Subforum for Customes would be Nice. With the Copy I meant for every level you want to use it in. The Music ini method didn't worked for me the last time, thought I'm not
sure if it was because of the Music Length, which was 30 Minutes for the High Quality Version or somethink else. Well, okay. Though I honestly don't know how to make a Character, but Thanks anyway for the offer.

Since everyone else is posting a list of what they wanna see, I'll post my list

Playable characters:
Donkey Kong (w/ his country moveset)
-Can pick up & throw things which then roll (such as an npc barrel you could add)
-Can roll by pressing alt-run
-Can do the ground slap by pressing down and alt-run/run
-Has the coconut gun (that fires in spurts) replacing the fire flower
Sonic The Hedgehog (w/ genesis moveset)
-Rolls into a ball by running and pressing down (and sliding)
-Can spindash by standing still, pressing down, and pushing jump


Powerups:
Frog Suit


Enemies:
DK Barrel (Arcade)
-Rolls around slowly and hurts you when stepped on/walked into
Icicles that fall down when approached
Donkey Kong (arcade) as a boss
-Remains stationary
-Throws DK Barrels at you


Misc:
More SMB3 level tiles, such as the number tiles (world map)
SMB3 paths (world map)
Being able to select new characters (Wario, Snake, Rosalina) in the launcher and title screen
Being able to block new characters (Wario, Snake, Rosalina) in the map editor (like how you can block mario, luigi, peach, toad, and link)

I'm not sure if is already implemented, or implementable with lua, but I would like easier access to add frames to player characters, and call frames. Also, (if possible) More limited scope define fields, so you could make 2 player compatible scripts that only apply a define on one player.

Basegame playables use playeranim.lua to define custom animation sets. That covers any use case restricted to the vanilla spritesheet layout. If you need a second spritesheet for a playable, you just have to draw the secondary sheet at the right time and set player frame to -50 * player.direction for the duration.

By focus, do you mean that will be the most important feature to get done for beta 5? As I don't think that many people even bother using multiplayer

More people would bother with multilayer if it functioned properly.

BTW can this thread also be used in the way previously mentioned by Enjl? So basically these suggestions don't necessarily need to be implemented into basegame, but people could dip in, have a go at making these suggestions themselves, and then releasing them as a pack? Especially as we have a lot more freedom now when it comes to custom content (such as the expanded range of most things of IDs 751 - 1000), a lot of these suggestions don't seem like they would be needed in basegame.
