I'm currently at the Mountway, having beaten the starworld, the special world, and the E-World (did I do it fast having the episode downloaded since July 18 and not playing it everyday?). So far one of the hardest levels for me was Areal Difficulty
But in ALL seriousness, E-World Water and Funny Tanks took FOREVER for me to beat
I would have to agree that the hardest levels in order are
Boss-Rush, Funny Tanks, E-Castle, Areal Difficulty, and some world 8 level I forgot the name of.

Oh no I'm currently approaching the world 8
But the boss rush wasn't actually a big problem for me (even in the challenging mode), and in the E-Castle my only problem was the boss

I mean, if you bring power-ups from another level, it is not that bad, but mess up and bam. You would either need to traverse the entire map or do it like this.
I can't do that. I'm not good at levels requiring advanced skills. again
Lol then you better get good!
Do not try offending me again. I'm gonna report your post if this happens one more time.
Didn't mean to offend you I just thought that was a funny thing to say about advanced levels, its kind of a given that it will require practice. Maybe it was a bit vulgar, so I hope you get the practice in to beat those levels.
Your post made me realize I hadn't done the E-World yet so I dove into it and I guess it's all the episodes I've been playing but I got through each level the first try, except E-World Lava, the end of that killed me 8 times until I saw the pattern was pretty simple. Bossedit8 has a good way with making levels fair but challenging.
-Edit-
The Hardest level in the entire game for me was Lavafall Highlands and maybe Sunken Castle that took a long while to beat, my favorite in the entire episode was Thunderstar Mushrooms, just an overall sweet level.
-Edit-
Also, if you really want to torture yourself with challenge try Super Mario Bros. 0

There's none in-game. They can't be harmed with a leaf/tanooki.
Well, that's an huge problem. I cannot dodge them so quickly (sometimes I think I made it when I am right into the discs' section), not even mentioning that there's plenty of narrow spaces where I can barely move.

If you didn't know, the red center block is safe to stand on, and ducking is also your friend. Again you should check bossy's 9-hour-longplay (starting at 2:08:30)

I already knew the red center block is safe, and I am checking bossedit's longplay.
