Hey, legit this is one of my favorite levels this month, the design itself is really solid. However, the graphical choices kind of make this level worse in my opinion. The main thing is that because the backgrounds are black and mario is black. I can't see where mario is half the time and I feel like I keep dying due to graphical choices rather than a mistake on my gameplay, which is kind of frustrating. What I suggest to still fit the aesthetic is that mario's eyes should also be white like the rest of the npcs. This would allow more visibility for the player, fit the aesthetic, and remove the faults of the level.
Good job, if you have a project where the levels are designed as well as this, I'd really be looking forward to it.
