Is this game still being updated, or is it just the forums?

I think the forums are. You can thank Joey for keeping the SMBX community together, without him, Nintendo's Cease and Desist request would have meant the end of it altogether. There's been word lately that SMBX is still getting updates, but there's been no word of where Redigit went, and without him, SMBX will stall on updates. But anyways, this is mainly about Joey, and his preservation of this community.

Except communities like Knux' forum and the TrekWeb forum held the english-speaking community together after the cease and desist. This forum only appeared years later. Joey has nothing to do with the C&D.

Also, I think it wouldn't hurt you to look at some of the global threads.
