Title screen level

Could I use LunaLua to make a title screen level? I'm making a SMW style episode, and I'm thinking if I could make a title screen level (Like in SMW, where Mario plays the level in the background) for my episode. Maybe it teleports the player to the level, uses either input manipulation or events to make Mario play through the level in a pre-programmed way and displays some graphics in front? Also, could I use Lua to make a working cape Mario? Currently I have the cape graphics replacing Raccoon Mario, but I would like it to work like it does in SMW.

It is possible to make a title screen within a level, I have done it myself so I can testify for that. What I'm not sure since I haven't tried it is if you could have Mario play in the background. It might be possible, though you will have to try it yourself.

That is also possible, I have made my Kaizo level for Kaizo III X do that. Forced right movement. You can be creative and make a no is out of SMBX though.
