I never said anywhere that NSMBX was considered "next in line" for anything.
Trek's forums were created on/around August 25th, 2010, and lasted until their closing/SMBX's official discontinuation on/around April 9th, 2011.

In the old SMBX.org subforum here, or on the original forums? Starman and 2.0 were joked about ever since the original forum's days. As to why that sort of discussion would be in the SMBX.org subforum, it's likely that someone got it confused for standard Super Mario Bros. X discussion, which has happened a lot in the past.

This thread is meant for serious discussion.

Original forums (June? 2009-July? 2010 - Official 1st Forum)
Beetlebailey's Forums (Nov-Dec 2009-2010?)
Knux Forums (April 2010-December 2013, Official 4th Forum Post Trekwebs)
Bikcmp Forums (Official 2nd Forum. Summer 2010, possibly July-August)
Trekwebs Forums (Official 3rd Forum. Unsure of dates but I'm sure Joey knows this one)
NSMBX Forums (July 2010? - present)
Joey's Forums (Official 5th Forum. December 2013 - Present)
I know other forums like SMBX Brazil exist, but I don't know the dates. PLs help guys, and I also can\'t remember ALL the forums
I'm brasilian, and i was a member from SMBX Brazil before they closed.
SMBX Brazil started in 2010, with Mario.Jr, and they ended in 2016...

I wrote the first part of that - it's a copy/paste from "The Story of SMBX" - and there is some factual inaccuracy in the section about SMB:R.
TrekWeb had two periods of downtime; the first one was due to hardware failure, and the second one was because CaptainTrek wanted a break. As mentioned, during the second downtime Redigit announced that no new forum would be given the title of "official". TrekWeb closed for good on/around April 9th, 2011.
Nobody was talking about this but I'm going to mention it as I do sometimes - all of this happened before the C&D from Nintendo, and the C&D from Nintendo had nothing to do with SMBX's development cancellation.

I joined the original forums on September 28, 2009 from looking through the Wayback Machine archives.

Wayback machine? Maybe, we can see the old forums with that. But, i'm not sure. If using Wayback Machine and be able to find some of the cancelled SMBX like NSMBX and SMB:R, then the mystery is easier to solve, right? But, the problem is, what date, that site still exist and what date it was no longer accessible. It could be a bad idea, so scratch that please.

Hey, buoy. About SMBX Brazil: our start date is: Jan 18th, 2010, 10:07 AM, according to the ACP. And we still alive, although there's no new posts and users...
