I guess Nintendo don't know how they should implement the fake item box, which may be why 7 and 8 don't have them.

I know really, I wish the team would scrap this pathetic item from Mario Kart Wii and later...MegaDood wrote:The Thunder Cloud from the Mario Kart series. Sure it can be helpful, but an item that has a ticking timer over your head the moment you activate causes a lot of stress and doesn't really help the player that much.

Mario Kart Wii was the only one with the thunder cloud.MarioRPGExpert93 wrote:I know really, I wish the team would scrap this pathetic item from Mario Kart Wii and later...MegaDood wrote:The Thunder Cloud from the Mario Kart series. i think Thunder Cloud was replaced with Lightning in MK8, the Lightning power-up angers me so much, as i am in 1st place, doing well, then i get struck by it, and lose so many placesElectriking wrote:Mario Kart Wii was the only one with the thunder cloud.MarioRPGExpert93 wrote:I know really, I wish the team would scrap this pathetic item from Mario Kart Wii and later...MegaDood wrote:The Thunder Cloud from the Mario Kart series. IKR, I seen the struggle of getting this item from watching TheRunAwayGuy's let's play of Super MetroidTheNewGuy wrote:X-ray in Super Metroid. All it does is, make you see through walls. And it's super painful to beat the room before you unlock it.
I unlocked it but I had to go through the room again with 5 hp. When I died, I lost my reserve tank, ice beam and I returned to last saved checkpoint before beating crocomire. That's why I had to quit the game.MarioRPGExpert93 wrote:IKR, I seen the struggle of getting this item from watching TheRunAwayGuy's let's play of Super MetroidTheNewGuy wrote:X-ray in Super Metroid. All it does is, make you see through walls. And it's super painful to beat the room before you unlock it.
The lightning was in every Mario Kart. It does not replce anything.OlieGamerTV wrote:i think Thunder Cloud was replaced with Lightning in MK8, the Lightning power-up angers me so much, as i am in 1st place, doing well, then i get struck by it, and lose so many placesElectriking wrote:Mario Kart Wii was the only one with the thunder cloud.MarioRPGExpert93 wrote: I know really, I wish the team would scrap this pathetic item from Mario Kart Wii and later...

Well to be fair It would kind of be unfair if your entire screen was blacked out. They should just increase the amount of ink or even use the blooper for some other purpose like invert the controls.Pop Yoshi Bros wrote:Matt_The_Slime wrote:...they did. More ink won't make the blooper better. It's useless unless you play in multiplayer because others players are motherf*ckers in the multiplayerMegaDood wrote:Well to be fair It would kind of be unfair if your entire screen was blacked out.
