I usually use cheats as a way to take my time exploring levels without worrying about dying from enemies, but yeah if a level is dumbass hard, it warrants using cheats to pass it

@Lucario Well I'm interested to know if you prefer to spend hours and never get past a near-impossible level rather than cheating it when you feel you really tried everything.

There is nothing wrong with skipping tedious levels by cheating.

Wrong! Cheating is wrong no matter what the reason is. While it's ok if you're doing it just to have fun, but as far as playing levels that are too hard or tedious, the best course of action would be to contact the level's creator & let them know that the difficulty of their level isn't fair & balanced. It's still up to them to decide whether to nerf it down or not. Some level designers purposely design their levels to have brutal & unfair difficulty, tell you to simply "get gud" or something, but it's always worth a try.

Imagine telling other people how to play a game.

I'm fine with people who don't like people cheating through their own levels (at least I get their point). The obvious exceptions are bugs and soft locks.

It isn't in anyone's place to decide whether or not cheating in an SMBX episode/level is OK imo, not even the creator. The only person who should have the right to decide is the player(s) themselves.

Unless the level tells you to use specific cheats

donthurtme and ahippinandahoppin(I think that's what it was, but I don't remember).

shadowstar and donthurtme, but I never use them because SMBX does not saves the game after using cheat codes.

imtiredofallthiswalking, because it makes getting around world maps much faster.

ahippinandahoppin can be replaced with jumpman which is 500% easier to type

and what does imtiredofallthiswalking effect? I know iparkwhereiwant, which lets you walk around the worldmap arbitrarily at high speed

It unlocks every level in the episode.

Yeah, ... so all paths open up? But can you access them faster?

With iparkwhereiwant you could also teleport to every level

any of the cheats that let you beat a level instantly
