If you wanna do this for yourself in the future, you can download an image editing program like paint.net and juse save it with a different file extension.

Also, modern SMBX flavours (x2. 38A, SMR) all support png sprites.

yeah, thankyou at first with background it does not work black boxes around then i replaced it with npc-68 no gravity then it worked

also i dont like higher versions of smbx

they are not compatilable with me
EDIT: now they are

and paint.net for windows 10 is not free

Download it from the site I linked. The Windows Store version is completely optional.

It is free if you use the link, but GIMP should also work.

Super Mario Reinvent, which is another continuation of SMBX by Core. It used to be called NSMBX but was renamed to reduce confusion with other versions of SMBX.

It's been started early this year hence it's in VERY EARLY stages of development. There's a first 1.0 build which contains a few custom NPCs in this thread, when it still went under NSMBX as described. Future versions will probably get another thread.
