If you add a size toggle, can you also add a visibility toggle? Given the option I would use that over whatever the default ends up becoming.

At this point I'm just in favor of removing ranks altogether. It really shouldn't be this big of a deal.

Agreed on that, some people just see ranks as status and higher ranks being superior, so either a rank toggle option or removal of ranks period would be best

I'm personally fine with this, I haven't payed much attention to them, and like several users have already stated, it's not worth being worked up over a small change like this.
