Eerie Movement

Postby Animebryan » Thu Oct 28, 2021 10:36 pm

How can I edit the Eerie movement formula to increase the Sine Wave height & stretch the wave pattern to be less frequent?
I'm trying to achieve the same pattern as Dragon/Unicorn Heads from Zelda 2 or Medusa Heads from Castlevania.

You can look up for a sine graph formula that has less frequency. You can add any function you want to Eerie's patterns, only your imagination is the limit.

Actually, no. Imagination doesn't determine the limit. Lack of knowledge determines the limit. And I tried looking up graphs, including one that generates a line on a graph based on a formula & so I put the example formula in cos(t * 4) & it didn't even bother to generate any wave pattern whatsoever!

Edit: Finally figured out how to reproduce the Zelda 2 Dragon Head sine wave formula after wasting over an hour through stupid trial & error.

3 * sin(t * 3);

Then I set it's speed to 1.75 & set it's HARM_TYPE to SWORD.

Now the SMW Eerie functions as a Zelda 2 Dragon Head or Castlevania Medusa Head. No thanks to anyone else though :(
