There is a discord server for NSMBX, and actually, NSMBX was rebranded to SMR several months ago already. X2 and 38A don't need promotion anyway.
It was actually the following phrases that partially felt awkward, to explain my reaction:
I feel proud to be the administrator of the brand new forum
All things are same there as this forum.
(which means it doesn't even have any USP)
the forum will be regularly checked by 10 moderators (More will be added)
(that's even more mods than we have here, already implying you were expecting a large userbase)
Request: Please Join the forum, I am telling you.
Further, even looking at the URL's name, it nowhere contains SMBX, in fact it sounds quite shabby from me.
And the part of
And there are many other smbx forums which is active, so that I thought mine would be a great addition.
doesn't seem true at all. I do not know any other forum which could even remotely come close to this one's activity. There were maybe only very few other forums that had activity of a dozen users and a few thousand posts, e.g. to name krazykat's (who's now known as zioy). Although this activity came from connections already established from the main community, and you're in fact a new member. Also despite being a 5+ year member myself, I would never get the idea to make a forum of my own. I don't have anything to offer that doesn't already exist here, I wouldn't reach out to any significant audience, and it would be dead just as soon as it were created.
Considering the turbulent early years of SMBX, we can be happy that we found a stable space, and it doesn't exclude anyone. You'll have a better experience in trying to be active here (might want to visit discord as well) instead of ending up with illusions about an equivalent forum ran by yourself
