Official SMBX Community YouTube Channel

Postby mariogeek2 » Sun Feb 02, 2014 11:36 pm

This was originally on Knux's forums, but since his forums are no longer SMBX related  , I'm having to post it on here now. What would y'all think if we had an official SMBX youtube channel representing these forums? Videos posted on the channel would be videos like this: trailers for community episodes made (the trailers) by the forum moderators, playthroughs of community episodes and popular/well known episodes by people popular on the forums, and with video equipment, and important announcements. Would y'all like to have one?

I wonder if they even did it, this was a long debated question and everyone seemed to like it, yet no youtube channel. I personally thinks it's a great idea, it could potentially lead to more members with tutorials (with commentary prefered). Also, with the whole community getting free advertising by uploading videos of thier episodes on the channel. I would watch and subscribe.

I think there is already a plan for this, but it isn't ready to be open yet.

Who is behind this, if you don't mind me asking?

On topic, I agree that this sounds like a good idea, if you think you can handle keeping it updated.

What Snow said. A plan for this is in the works, but questions should be directed at Valtteri.

To my understanding RDV is planning to launch the channel sometime soon. We'll post an announcement once it happens, don't worry.

Will accept people to join the YouTube Channel?

I'm curious as to who voted "no".

I didn't notice the poll. It's irrelevant as we already voted on this and the channel is happening.
